Who should take the courses?
Anyone new to lightning protection systems and/or is seeking an industry certification. Future Installers, Installers, architects, engineers, facility management, building enclosure/roofing consultants, insurance professionals and more.
Who designed the courses?
Courses are developed by industry experts who have worked in the field and who have been certified in the Lightning Protection industry. Their experience and knowledge ensure the highest quality of information and industry perspective.
LPU course material is based on the current edition of the National Fire Protection Association 780 Standard for the Installation of Lightning Protection Systems.
What is the format of courses?
Each full-length course consists of small segments. After each segment, a short quiz provides you an evaluation of your understanding of that topic. The comprehensive test at the end of the course provides a thorough, personal assessment. In addition, you can revisit any topics in that course to review and prepare for formal certification testing.
Webinars are structured to provide content and allow for live Q&A. Workshops can vary in length and content depending on the needs of a group. Contact the LPU for detailed workshop objectives.
